Every year, humpbacks travel from cold feeding zones (like Alaska or Antarctica) to warm breeding waters (like Hawaii or Australia). That’s thousands of miles of nonstop swimming, all while fasting and losing up to a third of their body weight. This migration isn’t just a power move, it’s a survival tactic. Cold waters are rich in krill and plankton, their primary diet, while warm waters are safer for giving birth. Calves are born without enough fat to survive cold waters, so timing and location are everything. This feat of endurance is one of nature’s greatest marvels.

Epic footage of a humpback whale breaching. Despite being this massive,it’s only half the size of a blue whale.

Bro had his soul left his body 😭😭💀

Three humpback whales jumped off the water off Cape Cod at the same time

Imagine if all are hungry? Dad films as his son is swallowed and then spit out by a whale. 🐳😲

Unbelievable... 😍✨

Wait wait

Giant humpback whale loses its way and ends up in a harbour. 🐳😲

That is incredible - what are the chances to be right next to them, presumably because plankton had gathered there, and for there to be a whole school of whales feeding at the same time. Truly amazing.

People got a rare treat when a Giant humpback whale visited a harbour.
