This clip is from Snowfall, the FX show about the crack epidemic tearing through 1980s South Central LA. It was created by John Singleton (the guy behind Boyz n the Hood), so a lot of the street details feel pulled straight from real life back then. The cold open nails how fast and ugly it hit regular people.
