Got a new John Deere USA X9 1000 this year, my brother was running it while I was at my school board meeting last night and ended up having to use the fire extinguisher on it. I don’t think this is how the straw chopper is suppose to run. 2nd time it tried to burn itself up.

3-4 times per week I drive to Chipotle, pick up my order, and eat it in the Walmart parking lot while I watch Outdoor Boys with my dog. My friend thinks this is silly. “Your time is valuable man. Just DoorDash it.” He doesn’t realize this is my favorite park of my workday.

“bang chan said he was gonna get everyone who needed water water and he came through with that. the employee started coming with what seemed like hundreds of bottles of water, and i feel like bang chan said ‘put it on my card, i don’t care.’” chan is such a reliable person, it never fails to amaze me how much he sincerely cares and looks out for others, taking it upon himself to keep everyone around him safe.

So this Muslim guy came to my DM and said I’d be fuel for hellfire, and that honestly, more Christians shouldn’t even convert… because we’d just increase the fuel supply in Hell. 😂 So I said, “Wait… didn’t your own scripture say everyone, including devoted Muslims, will enter hell first before Allah removes whoever He wants? Meaning paradise isn’t even guaranteed for you… and we’ll both be in the same place at some point. So what exactly am I converting for?” He asked for proof. I showed him. He said, “No, it means pass by, not enter.” I said, “Alright, let’s go deeper.” I pulled up the Arabic, the tafsir, and what scholars said, everything lined up. At that point… silence. This brother started searching for an escape route. 😭 Then I asked him: “So after all the struggle on earth, you still go to hell first before maybe making it to paradise… does that even make sense to you?” He replied, “I can’t question Allah. He is all-knowing and merciful.” I said, “I hear you… but deep down, does it make sense?” He paused and said, “I need to do my research on that… i am not a scholar, and haven’t come across it” And I’m like, wait… but you memorized the Quran in Arabic but you’ve never come across this? 😅 That’s when it hit me: a lot of Muslims can recite the Quran perfectly… but don’t actually understand what it is saying.

And his whole face — his whole face — became the face I grew up with. He reached out both hands. He said Bruno's name perfectly. Clearly. No hesitation. He said it the way you say the name of something you have loved so long it lives below the place the disease can reach." He held Bruno's face in both hands for a long time. He talked to him. Full sentences. Things I haven't heard from him in months. He said — "There's my boy. There he is. I knew you'd come." I sat in the corner of that room and I let them have it and I didn't make a sound because some things are not for witnessing loudly. My dad has Alzheimer's. Some days he knows me. Some days he is somewhere I cannot find him. But he always knows Bruno. Every single visit. Every single time. Bruno walks in and my father comes back to the surface like something in him refuses to forget the one who never left. I don't know what that is. I don't know the name for it. Inflight yesterday, while reciting my rosary, I noticed a man seated beside me doing the same. I was genuinely fascinated. After we landed, I asked him what inspired this devotion. He smiled and said, “My grandmother taught my mother and me, and now I’m passing it on to my children.” His wife added that he cannot do without the rosary, that he even wakes up at night to pray it, and that their children have embraced it as well. Wow 👏🏽👏🏽 Do you do same?

This very angry dude bought a car from this dealership that morning. When he got home, he realized there was a lot of mechanical problems with it and that they basically sold him a lemon. He called the dealership asking them to refund his money because they knowingly sold him a bad car. They said no it was advertised as is and needed work . He said OK I’m coming to your shop and I’m going to drive it right through the glass window ….and that’s exactly what he did . He was arrested. The damages were approximated at about $85,000 to the building. The court case is still pending.. Some would say, they understand his frustration however, according to the dealership, they did tell him that it needed repairs and it was sold as is. So although I understand his frustration, I can’t condone what he did.

My son had a baseball game tonight in a Jersey town a lot less red than my own, and as my daughter and I pulled into a store for the requisite game snacks, a lovely and kind woman saw us and she said she enjoyed the things I write on here. And honestly, with the amount of hate I get on here (yes trolls, bravo) it was just so wonderful to hear. And so, if she’s out there and happens to read this, my little girl said it made her “feel proud of her mom”, so thank you for that. And thank you for your kindness. It meant the world to me. ❤️ Oh, and my boy got a huge hit too. So, it was a 10/10 kind of night.
