My biggest complaint is that they made Serena's performance so good that it was really difficult to believe in her loss, especially with the lack of the queen's full exhibition. I get the meaning was the focus, but more the reasons to show it.😅

This was kinda worse than Ash’s Kalos League loss if you ask me

Like, I get they had time limit, Yajima said they got less episodes than they wanted when they were in the middle of production but still... The message about making people smile doesn't go through because Serena's exhibition felt more on point with that than Aria's xD

Plot armour for Serena and Ash both... They both lost to plot armour of their rival. Serena's performance was mind boggling and stupendous. Tbh it was so good that we don't have a good justification for WHY SHE LOST? Although one could ask same in case of Ash in Kalos league
