It's not a phenomenon. It would be if you didn't put it on the cans of soda. On the cans, the rocking inertia synchronizes them.

If “spontaneous” means placing all of them on a common pendulum and forcing them into planned synchronization then I guess you can call it that. I was thinking about spontaneously going to bed tonight exactly one hour from now. 🤣
