Issues of paternity have shaped our society for generations, especially in Zimbabwe. They did not start today. I remember going to a funeral with my father in the 1990s, and as we sat around the fire the men began sharing stories. One of them has stayed with me ever since. A Zimbabwean doctor had married a nurse, and they struggled to have children. As usual, when there is no child, the blame was placed on the woman. She went to see her own doctor, who told her plainly that she was not the problem, and advised her to bring her husband for testing. The husband refused, as many Zimbabwean men tend to do. Their marriage eventually collapsed, with the man insisting he could not be the problem because he had a child with another woman before marrying the nurse. That woman, he said, was also a doctor, and he was raising that child. After the divorce, the nurse remarried another doctor, and she immediately fell pregnant. Because it was a tight medical community, the whole situation became a talking point. The ex-husband had loudly declared that his former wife was barren, yet here she was having one child after another, three in total, with her new husband. Meanwhile, the ex-husband remarried, and again there were no children. One day the ex-husband and his former wife met at a gathering. During a casual conversation, as people who once knew each other, she told him directly that he was raising a child who was not his. She told him that he had no capacity to father a child and that if he finally went for tests, he would discover the truth. She reminded him how he had insulted her and her parents, and how he had refused to listen. The revelation shook him. He went for tests, and it was confirmed that he was the problem. He had spent seventeen years looking after a child who was not his. The moral of the story is simple, and I always stress this when mentoring young people. When in doubt, check. In fact, even without doubt, check. A DNA test at birth saves you from future heartbreak. Many men are raising children who are not theirs. Some women know exactly what they are doing. Others genuinely do not know because their relationships overlapped before they settled down. In those cases, even the woman cannot be sure who the father is. So when you have a child, get a DNA test. If you ask for one and a woman becomes defensive or resistant, that is a major red flag. At that point, the test is no longer optional, it is necessary. That is the reality of life today. As they say, trust is beautiful, but DNA is confirmation. In this life we live, hope is not a strategy when it comes to your children, so test your child and protect your future, as the saying goes. I have DNA stories that I could share for a whole year. If compulsory DNA testing was demanded of all of us today, you will be shocked by what will come out. This brother in the video is now going through denial. He has been told the truth, but he is still in shock, which is why he is asking for silly things from this woman. It is hard for any man to discover that the child he believed was his belongs to another man. That is why DNA testing is a necessity and why it should be compulsory.

Clearly, some of our NPP friends have a comprehension problem. These guys are so naive, that they don’t even know the difference between a “mere mate”, which is what Bawumia falsely claims to have been to Akufo-Addo and a “spare driver”, which is what John Mahama rightly says he was to Prof. Mills of blessed memory. Whereas, Bawumia claims that he has been a “mere mate”, to Akufo-Addo, ostensibly to dissociate himself from the mess of his own government, Mahama said in 2012, that he was a spare driver to Prof. Mills, (which is what we have insisted a VEEP is all along). As you can see in the attached video, H.E. John Dramani Mahama owned up to, and defended the record of the Mills/NDC government that he was a part of as a spare driver and justified why the NDC, deserved another term to continue its good works. He never attempted to distance himself from any decision of the Mills government that he was a part of. Again, John Mahama in 2012, campaigned on the basis of “continuity” as can been seen in the attached video, but today, dishonest Bawumia is preaching a “new path” with a promise to undo several of the key policies of his own government, as though he is an opposition leader in his own government. UK-based Nigerian Doctor Loses Custody Of Son After Flogging Him With Belt A Nigerian doctor based in the United Kingdom has lost custody of his 16-year-old son to the government after flogging him with a belt. This was revealed by a child rights advocate known as pepstalk1 on her Instagram page on Wednesday. She narrated that the Nigerian doctor flogged his son after he caught him and his friends invited over to study together watching an inappropriate video. His friends reportedly informed the police and told them that while the father was beating his son with a belt, the doctor repeatedly said, "Is this how you want to become a doctor?" In the video, she could be seen in front of the court where the case was being held while giving an account of the case. She said, "In court, the 16-year-old told the court that his father always flogs him and is forcing him to choose a career he doesn’t want. "After listening to the boy’s testimony, the court ordered that the boy be taken away from his father and he will remain in the custody of the UK government." Courtney Copeland appeared visibly emotional as her grandfather, Kenneth Copeland, discussed his ongoing health struggles after spending nearly 60 years teaching divine healing. Kenneth Copeland recently sat down with his granddaughter, Courtney Copeland, for a podcast discussing the Word of Faith movement and the doctrine of divine healing. Throughout his ministry, Kenneth has consistently taught that it is always God's will to heal and that believers can receive healing through faith. Yet in recent years, he has faced several health challenges of his own. During the podcast, Kenneth revealed that he is dealing with a painful back condition caused by a pinched nerve. As the conversation unfolded, Courtney appeared deeply moved, seemingly struggling to reconcile her grandfather's theology with the reality of his physical suffering. In my opinion, this is where this theology can become damaging for people. Kenneth explained that although he is experiencing sickness and pain, he believes he is already completely healed—it is simply taking time for that healing to manifest. In the meantime, he is receiving treatment from medical professionals. I believe God still heals today. I have personally experienced healing, and I have prayed for others to be healed. Every time I pray for someone, I do so with faith, believing that God is able to heal in Jesus' name. However, not everyone is healed on this side of heaven. We must be willing to wrestle honestly with those difficult questions when healing does not come. Some aspects of suffering and healing remain a divine mystery, and we simply do not have all the answers.
