@MORTHIndia @nitin_gadkari Installing cameras , stricter fines for speed and cancelling the licences as punishment will force them to abide by the rules.

Is America completely bifurcated, or is there a silent majority tired and disoriented by the political chaos? T&Q's @nimayi3 and @OutrageOverload discuss in "Outrage and Empathy."

I also was of the same view....but blame it on the Population and general indiscipline in India....the slow lane is full of bicycles, motorcycles and random people......at most places on Highways too ( especially near villages/towns/cities). It must be nightmare for the Truck drivers to drive in the slow lane without making an accident.....unless EVERY highway has a dedicated bicycle-motorcycle lane, I think they will continue to drive in the fast lane.

@MORTHIndia @nitin_gadkari I completely agree with your view and have experienced this while driving on highways The trucks choose the last right lane instead of the designated left last lane to avoid hitting bikers ( mostly local village vehicles ) and getting into issues . Not a justification , though!

@MORTHIndia @nitin_gadkari Another most irritating thing is slow moving commerical tempos occupy right lane blocking traffic even on empty roads. This is most common on Mumbai roads.

@MORTHIndia @nitin_gadkari This is considered normal by the truck drivers. No matter how much you honk, these guy's won't budge at all. Only option, heavy fines to be levied on these truck driver's only then you'll see them move and not otherwise. Unless it doesn't pick their pocket all are futile attempts

@MORTHIndia @nitin_gadkari In US also, only fines and no alternative, ensures traffic discipline

@MORTHIndia @nitin_gadkari These officials and #RTO have become deaf and dumb. I have been highlighting since last 6 years. Ministry also doesn't have any intent to act on this. @PMOIndia @HMOIndia

@MORTHIndia @nitin_gadkari Left most lane is not practical for trucks -occupied by local bus and auto, trucks have to change lane too often increasing driver work load and risk of accidents -truck drivers prefer to drive at a steady speed non stop -give last lane to trucks, middle lane for fast moving car

Best way to solve this is. Stop them on highways and have TV in trailers. Wait for a scheduled slot in about 3 or 4 hours and make them watch the video of safe driving, ask questions and repeat it for them until they get it right. Now due to fear of loss of time if got caught for wrong reasons they will all start following rules. This is for everyone not only truck. Because time is more dear to all than money today!

MP Dr Amol Kolhe, who was on his way to Moshi for an event, faced a traffic jam on the old Pune Mumbai highway. On Saturday evening, he was heading towards Moshi when he was stranded in a traffic jam at Somatne Phata. So, Dr. Kolhe got down from the vehicle and himself tried to smoothen the traffic jam at Somatne Phata Chowk. Tried to smooth the traffic by giving instructions to the drivers. He has posted this video on X handle. Meanwhile, he has also mentioned in this post the content that takes a jibe at Nitin Gadkari and the government. In this post, Dr. Kolhe said, 'Bypass on Pune-Nashik highway has started due to collective efforts. However, since the elevated corridor between Khed and Nashik Phata and between Wagholi and Shirur on the Pune-Nagar highway has not yet been completed, the people are facing the daily traffic jams. We are constantly raising our voice in the Parliament to make this elevated corridor. Along with that, we are continuously following up with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and National Highway Authority. 9 thousand crores and 11 thousand crores respectively have been sanctioned through their efforts. But the work has not actually started yet. I am constantly drawing the attention of the Central Government to this daily suffering of the people. But these projects are not getting the speed they should from the central government, he has mentioned in the post. #pune #punecity #Punecitynews #news #Punenews #MPamolkolhe #amolkolhe
