Not a disease. It's our natural hair. Some of us really can't shave like that. It causes many of us to get ingrown hairs and resulting infections. Doctors saw this back in the 70's, which is why they created the shaving exemption

Imagine our military being full of dudes who can’t shave without crying about it.

Black skin reacts differently to shaving and waxing, but the army pretends not to know. That policy is racist, period.

Man explains that he's done everything and research and this is how his skin reacts - ppl I'm comments continue to tell him he's doing it wrong and even try to suggest ways around it 😮💨😭😭😭😭😭😭

it doesn’t even make sense. it feels like there’s been so much random bs taking up headlines to take focus off epstien, a¡pac, and the fact the dollar dropped 11% this year

They want a white boy army... That's the point...

So much misinformation from people in here who have probably never served…

so you've never in your life figured out how to groom yourself to the bare minimum western standard and that is racist? so something about black people makes them incapable of learning how to groom themselves in your opinion? and we're the ones who are racist?

Gotta love when a comment section gives u a plethora of ppl to block❣️

I don't think they should be in our armed services

Obviously, this soldier needs a shaving wavier. Pete only wants white boys in the military. Fuck that guy.

One thing about this video is him calling out his crewmates. You don't know susceptible other Black men are to pseudofolliculitis barbae. And just because it doesn't happen immediately after the first time that they shave doesn't mean that they won't eventually develop it.

Black people shouldn't be in the military. We're getting kidnapped and shot in the streets.

Black Men:

What’s racist is thinking that black dudes in the army are the only ones who don’t know the solution

I don't understand why a lot of black soldiers have this skin disease where they can't shave I have black friends that shave everyday when I really think it is you have a whole bunch ingrown hairs because you guys don't shave

I had to wake up at 0400, after sleeping on the cold ground for a few hours, freezing my ass off and shave with camouflage paint still on my face from the night before using a canteen cup full of cold fucking water and I about got an article 15 for missing a few hairs once. I am white. This is not racist. This is the military. There are rules and there are standards.

It's razor burn. Shave cream. Use a SINGLE BLADE razor, not these multi bladed razors. Don't shave against the grain. User error. Stop blaming race. You fucking people act like there's never been a black man in the military before, just stfu.

Claiming racism in this issue is the last bastion of the coward.

The hair is curling back into his face, and that's what makes it pain. The hair is coarse too

Exactly. It’s racist because it impacts one group based on how God created them. The clean shave policy never changed. Black men who suffer with pseudofolliculitis barbae, were provided waivers by doctors. Not all Black men need it. But many needed the waiver.

This is the look they want…..

How does a beard affect your ability to be a soldier?

General Powell entering the chat

My instructor said "shave them off, once you do you never have to deal with it again". I always loved that. But for real, its a small price to pay when your ass gets gassed. If you can't handle shaving, doubt you can handle a bullet or anything else for that matter.

You will be discharged when they see this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

And white folks get sunburns. We all have our shit to deal with.

That ain’t ILoveMakonnen?

Obviously this person has a LOW IQ use a good electric razor not a $10 one from Walmart invest in a professional electric razor it won’t happen. Your not special you just have thick coarse hair and if you use a bladed razor it cuts the hair to short and your skin closes the hair follicle hole up and then the next day the hair growing pushed the skin and makes a bump like a pimple then a day or two later the skin and hair are back to normal. When you use the electric shaver it trims the hair even with your skin so it doesn’t have to go through the process of pushing on your skin and make a pimple like bump on every hair follicle. You should shave after you take a shower and if you have hair on your face use shampoo and conditioner on your face. Then when you get out use the electric shaver and wash face again 100% guarantee you won’t have bumps on your face.

Learn to shave
