You did not turn away from our brokenness. You reached into our suffering and helped us begin again. Because of you, shattered walls are rising once more, and hearts that were once filled with despair are slowly learning to hope again. What was destroyed by violence is being rebuilt through love. We will never forget this compassion. In the midst of darkness, you became a light for us.

"You must recognize that in your hearts, in your lives, in your youth, there is hope—for today and for tomorrow", he stressed.
