AN EMOTIONAL AFTERNOON 💔 We spent the whole afternoon trying to catch this poor dog. We had reports about her yesterday, seen limping and sleeping rough 💔💔 We couldn’t find her last night, it was to dark on Christmas night 💔💔 Finally she was spotted today and MLHR Sarah got their first and watched her until we could make a plan. After hours of trying, we finally caught her and got her to safety. She was terrified, young, scared…then this miracle happened, MLHR Co Founder Debs and MLHR Rebecca the dog showed her that they only wanted to help, she literally hugged Debs, the tears flowed ❤️ We have called her Maisie after a lovely local lady ❤️ We don’t take days off, not on St Stephen’s Day, not ever, because animals depend on us. Thank you Linda for being there for us as always ❤️ Please donate, every penny counts Thank you ❤️❤️

Ernesto’s sanctuary was born in Aleppo 9 years ago, and today we went back to Aleppo to help this American lady and another animal shelter that is in the middle of the fighting. We took away with their permission the animals that were injured, we brought the aid that we could with our budget and we came back! Here in Syria we will not eat the cake tonight to celebrate the ninth year because we are physically and emotionally very tired. We have a heartbreaking story to share. On Monday, we found three of the dog friends PETA regularly visits still chained. Juju, Drako, and Eve spent their entire existence at the end of a chain, lonely and neglected—until their very last day 😢 We gave them the only love and care they ever knew, when their “owners” allowed us to visit. We begged to give them a chance to find them new homes where they could finally know safety and love. But every time, the answer was no 😞 Earlier this week, we found them where we last saw them… still at the end of their chains 💔 We’re calling on local officials in North Carolina to stop ignoring the epidemic of chaining. We urge residents to demand that their elected officials take immediate action to protect dogs like Juju, Drako, and Eve, and ban chaining so that people are not allowed to just leave dogs tied up and forget about them. We won’t stop until every dog is safe, cared for, and free from chains. Juju, Drako, and Eve deserved better—and we’ll keep fighting so others don’t suffer the same fate.

💔🇵🇸😭Dear friends, last night was horrible. It was the worst night so far. We were ordered to leave. But how could we leave? We can't bring the cats and where would we go? We heard people were killed when they left their house. We are terrified and no option is a good one. So we stayed. We don't dare to really go outside, just stay near our house. We fed the cats, my friends, because I needed to distract my children. I don't want them to know I fear for our lives. I needed to pretend that everything will be alright. So I told them to help me feed our cats. I can't believe they still had an appetite but they did. My friends, pray for us. We are so scared. We need you so much right now. Thank you for staying with us, for being there for us. We are so sad, so scared and so devastated. 💔 🫂 🐈
