This poor guy lost 4 months of work because of Cursor? Obviously use git, but if you lose something between commits, local history in your editor is KEY

Not just cursor this is a VSCode default. Works in every clone of Code.

He git commit himself to the basic before going all ai no code on us lmfao . Ok I will see my self out 🏃♂️🚪

Recently I ran git reset —hard because it was last command from a terminal. 🤣 I thought I lost big chunk of work but I managed to get it all back with this. If file is deleted, recreating the file with the same name still allows for accessing local history 🙌

This is one of the features where Webstorm is still quite better than VSCode. It can browse back history on a whole folder, so the whole project like with Git. How many times I reverted back in the morning to yesterday before a crazy wrong night coding session. 🤣

You can't replace good fundamentals of software engineering. The basics still matter

Is this an extension?

This is a key feature, saved me so many times. I wish there was some kind of plugin like this for my neovim too
