There’s nothing wrong with choosing who you roll with… One of the biggest mistakes I see hobbyist BJJ practitioners make is feeling like they’re forced to roll with everyone. In my opinion, you don’t have to roll with anyone. We only get one body, and we’re all here for the long run. So it’s totally fine to communicate, politely and in a friendly way, when you don’t feel comfortable rolling with someone. If someone is much younger than you, or much heavier, or just rude, it might be a better option to avoid rolling with that person. It’s all about preserving your body for the long run and making sure you stay on the mats for years to come. Would love to hear your thoughts…

a fan shared that they’re going through existential crisis, and hanbin’s words are just… :(( 🍀 i think it can actually be a good thing when questions keep arising about the direction of your life. the very act of thinking about these things means you are trying to make your life better. 🍀 (…) i feel like people care too much about what’s around them. even if you don’t pay attention to others, life is long, and even if lives look similar, they are still different. so i don’t think the difference in pace really matters.

It’s been getting much cooler in the mornings now, when I take my sons to school sometimes, I look at the intersection and I see a car completely covered in snow or frosted with ice. I don’t see the point of driving if it’s like this, even if you are just going around the corner, why take a risk, especially if you have kids in the car. Is it really that much more time to scrape your windows and run the defroster?

This piece is 4 years old, and in artist years, that feels like a lifetime. So much can change in that time. Your style, your skill, your perspective. I usually have a hard time looking at my older work, especially anything more than a year old. I tend to focus on all the things I could’ve done better. But this one hits differently. It’s like that one song you used to listen nonstop during a specific time in your life. Every time you hear it, it instantly takes you back. Super nostalgic. That’s what this piece does for me. It reminds me of the younger DeeKay: full of curiosity, obsessed with the craft, completely immersed in the joy of creating. I’m still that person, but with a lot more responsibilities now. That purity I felt back then, I don’t ever want to lose it. I want to keep making art that moves people. I want to stay playful. I don’t want to grow up.

NO WAY 😭😭😭 🗣️: When I listen to your solo music, "Be Mine" or "Who", you know, I hear your background as a dancer. It’s funny, but I... I feel like it plays into the way, the rhythms that you choose and the way that you sing. And I wonder if you see that as well, that interplay. 🐥: When I was working on those songs with my producers, we did make them thinking they would be great songs for me to dance to. Especially with "Be Mine," we even made a dance that I wanted to share with fans, but since I had to go to the military, it was a rough time.

I can’t believe a person you would put your trust into, marry them, have kids with them and they can do this to you! And then have the nerve to get mad when we choose the bear. It’s really sicko and weird. Would you want this to happen to your daughter or sister or mother? I’m at a lost for words. For the men who say they are our allies, you have a lot of work to do. Men who get offended by this it’s because you know what men are actually capable of. Either you are them or so ashamed you don’t want to admit it. But it doesn’t stop it from happening.
