Something I really admire about Taeyeon is how genuine she is as a person, not just as an idol. She never feels like someone who's constantly trying to maintain a perfect image. If she's happy, she'll show it. If she's upset, frustrated, or disappointed, she doesn't pretend otherwise. She's never been afraid to show those emotions, even in front of fans. She allows herself to be human. She doesn't force herself to smile all the time just because she's an idol. Instead, she expresses what she genuinely feels and allows herself to experience every emotion without hiding it. I think that's one of the reasons fans understand and respect her so much. It never feels like she's putting on an act, it feels like she's simply being herself. She just feels real. Columbia professor John McWhorter says that Kamala Harris doesn't speak in word salads; it's just her way of being “articulate.” He calls this “a really effective way of speaking smoothly.” Watch him try and sell this narrative. “You have to listen to her in the right way. She actually has learned a really effective way of speaking smoothly. She does these triplets, and she'll say, ‘the ambitions, the hopes, and the aspirations of the American people.’ “Those three things are really all the same. The reason she did it is not because she's stuttering. It's because that is her way of not saying 'um.' She's avoiding saying 'um' or hesitating.
