This referee doesn’t throw the flag when the “penalty” happens, he throws it AFTER he realizes the pass will fall incomplete. #Chiefs complete their *league-leading* 15th (!!) game with less penalties than their opponent, since 2022. It is so obvious.

Thomas extended his left arm right as Watson is getting ready to jump - AGAIN - This is not about a penalty. This happens a lot in the game including Chiefs receivers doing it. It happens. I wouldn’t want the flag thrown if the roles were reversed and it was a Chiefs receiver. I’m tweeting this because I was pretty frustrated with Watson yesterday during the show with him not coming up with the PBU on this. Outside of closing the gap more on the sideline he was in phase and looks like he timed his jump pretty perfectly. Bad timing that the arm hits him when he’s between steps. Easier to lose balance with neither foot touching the ground AGAIN I DON’T CARE ABOUT A PENALTY OR NOT. Also, good for Brian Thomas who has had his issues with drops that’s he’s able to secure it after the slight bobble before Conner makes the hit. (Please don’t make this about the refs)
