This relationship is going backwards. I put the food down and Bruiser did his lunge hiss thing at me from five feet away and then proceeded to chase me! I was running around the yard away from him! What IS going on???? I’ve NEVER seen a cat chase anyone....

My boy Lucas passed away today. He went out roaming around this morning. I was inside working and went on the porch and he was there beside the door sleeping. Reached down to pet him and he was cold. He layed down on the porch where he always does, went to sleep and passed away.. He was old but I wasn't expecting this. This is a pain I've never gotten used to. Raised him from a small pup and the last 10 years. I bought Lucas off the same Cane Corso breeder my matriarch Seven came from. His grandfather was a Westminster best in breed champion. Gonna miss this old warlord a whole lot.😔

I keep seeing this trend of photos and videos of women from the ’90s versus today with the Goo Goo Dolls’ song Iris playing in the background. — Here I am in 1998 at 28—before being saved by Jesus—and here I am today at 54. —I would never want to go back. I wore the saddest smile in the world back then. Praise Jesus, my life feels like it’s just beginning. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 What I carried in my heart back then was rejection and emptiness. What I carry now is His peace. “He lifted me out of the pit… and set my feet on a rock.” — Psalm 40:2 I’m grateful for every year He’s given me, because life in Christ is the only place I’ve ever truly lived. Two weeks ago, I realized we went from eight guinea hens to six. And then four. I investigated and found feather piles, and tracked the forensic evidence back to the hood where the perpetrator lived. I bought two 48"x 18" traps and put stinky wet cat food inside. This criminal could not resist. This is a Red state, so instead of apologizing to him and electing him to a position of political power, I shot him in the face. And then burned his corpse on a pile of trash.
