Everybody in Congress bickering over Trump's 'big, beautiful bill' needs to take a lesson from George Washington: "Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God.” That just means do the right thing. And that right thing is to CUT THE SPENDING.

The County Judge stated she wanted to raise taxes. Here it is on this week's agenda for Commissioners Court meeting. Instead, too many veterans are stuck waiting for care while politicians put themselves first. Men and women who served this country should never have to fight their own government for the benefits they earned. Right here in Boston, Mayor Michelle Wu gave herself a raise while cutting benefits for veterans. That’s not leadership. That’s disgraceful. As we head into Memorial Day, remember this: veterans kept their word to America. It’s time politicians start keeping theirs.
