You know when you retire from the military you get 50% of your base pay each month. What they don’t mention is that you never get a pay raise. So if a person retired in 1966 at the rank of E-7 they get half of $381!!!! Congressmen get the pay raises they give themselves almost every year. Our older vets aren’t getting anything for their sacrifice. Congress is nothing but criminals!

My opinion is that members of Congress shoukd work for minimum wage and be subject to the exact same rules as the citizens. No special anything. Plus they should have dorm style living while in office. Nothing more.

What they need in Congress is term limits most of all. Too many use it as a second career and getting unchecked income after most of them are done being lawyers.
