Not my take. This older woman was in the wrong making an illegal turn, a traffic violation. But, the more appropriate response to being late for her doctors appointment would have been, “that’s unfortunate”, rather than an immediate, “I don’t care”. Most especially not threatening to “take her to jail” from the top. Making a major crime out of this was unnecessary with all the extended gossip between officers like teenagers. Sounds like the excitement for their day. The old woman was wrong, but these officers need to grow up and be more professional. Arresting her was over the top and ridiculous. Another female cop letting her emotions control the situation.

These days, being late for a doctor's appointment, knowing that you could lose that appointment, and how much money it might cost you, I think it is a reason to break the law. Otherwise, they will break you financially.
