A party that’s been tearing itself apart, losing members and leaders, and now has an interim leader is not showing stable leadership. A reported allegation about a job offer tied to an MLA resignation—and an RCMP probe—raises serious questions about what’s happening behind closed doors. I made a video covering controversies involving 36 Conservative candidates. Watch it. Look at the record. Then ask yourself: Can B.C. trust this party with our province? Our public health-care system is too important to become a cash machine for private interests and billionaires. Families already wait for care. We cannot risk a system where profit comes before patients. And drivers shouldn’t have to pay more for a lawyer-driven insurance system. More legal battles can mean more costs—and it’s B.C. drivers who could be left with the bill. Women’s rights. Reproductive care. LGBTQIA+ protections. Indigenous rights. These are not bargaining chips. There’s a bigger danger, too: if seven Conservative-led provinces and a Conservative federal government backed certain constitutional changes, they could pursue them through the 7/50 formula—with the support of Parliament and provinces representing at least half the population. It wouldn’t erase every law overnight, but it could open the door to major changes. Don’t hand them another province. B.C. deserves better than chaos and backroom politics.
