In Carlito’s Way, when Benny Blanco confronts Carlito, De Palma doesn’t cut back and forth like most directors would in a normal dialogue scene. Anyone referring to this whole sequence as "wrong" or "weird" is a clear example of poor media literacy. The game couldn't have made it clearer right before this sequence played out with Zack and Marlene's conversation. In reality, Marlene said it twice. No one. And I mean no one, who loved FF7 in 1997 was not tearing themselves to shreds trying to save Aerith(or find ways to revive her). I think Rebirth perfectly embodied those feelings too. The mass emotion evoked by a fanbase 27 years prior. I'm happy that Hamaguchi-san was with us. He went through that phase. And in turn the Remake Trilogy offered a new hope to fans to make it right. Thank you to the devs that gave us the chance to finally save her.
