In Carlito’s Way, when Benny Blanco confronts Carlito, De Palma doesn’t cut back and forth like most directors would in a normal dialogue scene. Instead, he keeps the camera at a distance and pans between the two actors, capturing the rising tension between them. It's funny when people claim to love Aerith (or even cosplay as her), but their tone changes the moment she starts showing what she truly wants and not acting the way they want her to act. Anyone referring to this whole sequence as "wrong" or "weird" is a clear example of poor media literacy. The game couldn't have made it clearer right before this sequence played out with Zack and Marlene's conversation. In reality, Marlene said it twice. Is it really this difficult to understand this story?
