This. This was the moment when I understood that I was watching something special. Previous lessons also had many serious and warming moments, but absurd humour was still kept me thinking that this couldn't be really serious manga... Until this episode(pt1/2)

The 1 part I'm conflicted on with this episode, was whether or not it was the right thing to kinda gloss over the rooftop scene. The anime was very figurative and metaphorical about it while glossing over, but the manga straight up has a spread of her pirouetting off the rooftop.

This is the episode that let me know DandaDan had a chance to be an all-timer. I was locked IN

It shattered me the first time I saw it. There’s no greater pain than a mother losing her child.
