Rewatching this knowing the context and sacrifices made in Andor and R1, knowing that all of that is on Luke’s shoulders makes this so much more intense, not to mention the awesome music and dialogue between the frantic characters. What a timeless movie

the scene before the sirène fight is a perfect example that you don’t need dialogue for it to hit hard. and it hits even harder after finishing the game, the foreshadowing is crazy in hindsight.

With The Angry Birds Movie (2016) trending recently I’m surprised nobody hasn’t mentioned this scene yet and how quite emotional and beautifully executed it is that it completely works and makes you feel for the characters, this entire movie solos the entirety of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026) and if anything I felt more emotional with this scene more than Peach reuniting with Rosalina which really says a lot about that movie and how painfully mediocre and stressful Galaxy Movie was and the best part this movie is actually takes the time to breathe and doesn’t overuse references or action scenes every few minutes to make it enjoyable and it also doesn’t have deep storytelling either and yet it still manages to be enjoyable.

It may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't like it very much when in order to gain great fluidity the aesthetics of the drawing are sacrificed a lot. I'm more of a fan of those who are looking for a balance between good animation and good drawings, rather than very simple drawings and extremely smooth animation.

While the scene is funny, the setting and characters feel so ARTIFICIAL and SOULLESS. This is one of the main reasons why I find DBS so difficult to watch; there are many episodes with a BLAND style. Compare it to this scene, full of soul and life:
