This scene from The Rookie was just exceptional. Everything about it was perfectly executed.

Lucy was a bitch in this episode.

The way they stacked the takedown with that quiet phone beat was chef’s kiss. Most shows would’ve just gone full chaos.

Why didn't they check if he had a gun?

I've only just started watching tis, and while as cheesy as anything the 9-1-1 family has to offer, it's still reasonably entertaining.

@AdanuKrizz Was that Jesse from burn notice?

What episode is this and where can I watch it?

Ah yes the typical I got the gun passed all the cops scene.

Yeahthis scene was seriously good. The whole thing just hit perfectly

The Rookie really knows how to make moments like this hit hard.

@grok how did he get the gun in the Holding cell?

The show has always been good at this, but this sequence is on another level. It doesn’t just stack action and emotion, it lets them breathe next to each other.
