It is not enough to be remembered; one must live creatively, deliberately multiplying the eternal values (love, truth, beauty, justice, compassion) that outlast any single life. To achieve this is to become a conscious co-creator of humanity itself. The ordinary person leaves ripples; the ethical person carves channels that guide the river for centuries. In the end we are all made of the same material, humanity. The difference lies in whether we merely pass through it or choose to enlarge it while we are here.
