This scene is a prime example of my problem with the writing in Andor and why I think it's overrated: Our heroine awakes suddenly in the night. She walks to the main room, and finds her torturer standing there, glibly taunting her! Then, a hand on her shoulder! Relief;... it's her lover's. It was only a nightmare--a manifestation of her trauma, and her guilt over something or other. "Breathe," he tells her. These are all horrible clichés. There's nothing compelling or original about this scene at all. All stories make use of clichés to some extent, but that can't be all there is. This scene isn't executed in a particularly interesting way. It's just boring. So much of the show's writing is like this, but people eat it up because it has a prestige television patina.show more

Listen, i wasnt going to make a video on this topic at all, but in the recent months this has become an actual problem and I AM SO TIRED of seeing comments like these. I've had days where michelle was so frustrated reading these comments every single day, comparing her to other girl content creators or just calling her quite disgusting things. And all i can do is sit there and tell her "these guys are trolls" or just "ignore them" but there's only so much ignoring you can do. This isnt just a problem for michelle, but for literally every girl content creator out there in the gd scene (at least this problem is pretty big on tiktok, but it exists here on yt aswell) And if you're reading this comment and you think to yourself "this isnt that big of a deal" or "this isnt a problem" then that is part of the problem. If we keep ignoring this or brushing it off, this will keep happening. We have so few women in the gd community, and if we keep treating them this way, more will leave, and fewer will join. And it sucks that i am one of the first people in the gd community to speak up about this but without naming any names, ive heard many many bad things from these girl content creators and i dont blame them for wanting to private their account or quit gd all together.

This young lady accidentally put her $10 for gas on the wrong pump. When the confused gentleman at the pump asked her if it was her, she said yes and told him to take it. When someone usually puts a set amount in there like $10 instead of filling it up all the way, it normally means that’s all she has or all she could afford to put in, shouldn’t he just move altogether so she can have all of her $10 in gas or better yet just fill her tank for her?

This woman lives in an HOA. The back of her yard backs up into an easement that is owned by the HOA. The trees back there are on the easement. She points out that there are fallen branches all over her neighbors yard because of the trees and there were many in her yard as well. So she and her children went and picked up all the branches and sticks in her yard and then she piled them up under the tree. She said since the tree is on the HOA easement, it’s their problem. She wants to know if she is the bad guy in all this. If it were me, I’d maintain my yard and put the branches and sticks out for the trash pickup. Do you think she is in the right and it’s the HOA’s problem? Or do you think she is wrong and is making a mountain out of a molehill and there are better hills to plant your flag on?

Sometimes when we rescue dogs, it really is a life-or-death situation and that's very much the case for this tiny little girl who got reported to us yesterday. At first locals and the authorities told us that she had been poisoned so it was her race to empty her stomach and try and keep her alive. The team had been battling for the last 24 hours and it was very much touch and go. Today we've seen some amazing progress and her first tail wag! She's been undergoing a series of tests to eliminate any possible poisons and she's also been analyzed on her brain. Whatever happened, this dog has definitely had a massive trauma but she seems to be just about through the worst of it. It's way too early for her to regain use of her limbs yet but it was good to see that she was able to lift her head today at least. This is very much a dog who wants to live and wants to get better but her body just won't let her yet. There is so much fight left in her though. I called her Espresso because she looked dark with a little hint of coffee on her and then I thought I'd give her her full name of Espresso Martini 🍸 ☕️ I would say her road to recovery will take weeks but the medical team are hopeful after her first 24 hours of progress that there might just be a future for this beautiful little girl ❤️🤞

I'm recovering from surgery and decided to watch the Green Lantern. I've never seen it before and wanted to see if it really is as bad as every says it it - it is! But I noticed that about 30 mins into the film, there's a scene where Lively and Reynolds characters dance in a bar in an almost identical way to the slow dance scene from IEWU. The only difference is the characters were talking Could it be possible that Lively was trying to recreate the scene to be similar to the scene she did with her husband when she fell in love with him? Did she rewrite the scene to mirror the details of the dance? Is this what she means when she says her husband is "all over this movie"? Did Reynolds see this and get jealous because it hit a nerve? *side observation - she's rubbing her hands all over him and not intimacy coordinator is around

The grocery store scene in Sicario: Day of Soldado is intense, but one part stands out to me. The mother runs to her daughter, checks on her, and then walks towards the suicide bomber. Her instincts are completely off. It's clear that she was hoping to get through the door and get away, but she placed her trust in the man who came there to kill her. As soon as she saw him standing there she should have grabbed her daughter, turned, and run the other direction. As infuriating as the scene is, it's important to note that it's not just an arbitrary depiction of a random character. It's a metaphor. The leftists in our nation always appeal to appeasement. They always tell us we're hateful or bigoted to point out that we have enemies, and that there actually are evil people in the world who hate us, and want to kill us. They fail to adequately assess the treat, and they put our entire nation in the hands of our enemies, who will obviously exploit this weakness aggressively.

ANATOMY OF A SCENE: And this ladies and gentle is why I say Icala is one of the best shows we've produced in Mzansi. Look at the quiet brilliance of this SCENE. This is how I read it... 1. Mashandu's wardrobe and how it serves the story without anyone saying it, it is brilliant! 2. The beats in the conversation between her and the chief... It starts with her being flirty, he takes the bait, when he tries to assert his dominance in the dynamic, she reels him back to her having the upper hand by playing vulnerable. This whole scene is about her being in control even though the overarching visual says she is submitting to the men around her. Big up to the director for the shoes thing... She shows up in heels which are inappropriate practically but asserts her feminity. Taking them off lures us the audience into false sense of her relinquishing that feminine power. But from there the director frames her mostly in mid-shots when she speaks thus framing her as filling a space rather than being a subordinate in that space.

Alrighty. I don't know about you, but this scene was one of my favorites from ep 23. But, it's been overlooked. It's a heart-to-heart between cihan and fiko. And, it adds fiko among the people who truly know what cihan feels for alya. I love the fact that fiko starts the conversation with 'will you always live like this?' Because that's what the viewers have been thinking since alya and cihan got married. Sure, it's a marriage of convenience of sorts, but any blind person can tell you they love each other. But, cihan is holding back because of boran and maybe in some small part due to his promise to alya. However, to fiko, it seems ridiculous because she can see that the whole arrangement is already tearing at the seams. When fiko makes it obvious there's no point in hiding things from her, because she sees the two of them too clearly, cihan tells her about his agreement with alya. Then comes my favorite part. Fiko says 'don't let go of my daughter's hand, not now or in the future.' That's her way of saying, make it real, make this marriage real. Live what you two feel for each other. And, there's no judgment in her tone or words. Alrighty. I don't know about you, but this scene was one of my favorites from ep 23. But, it's been overlooked. It's a heart-to-heart between cihan and fiko. And, it adds fiko among the people who truly know what cihan feels for alya. I love the fact that fiko starts the conversation with 'will you always live like this?' Because that's what the viewers have been thinking since alya and cihan got married. Sure, it's a marriage of convenience of sorts, but any blind person can tell you they love each other. But, cihan is holding back because of boran and maybe in some small part due to his promise to alya. However, to fiko, it seems ridiculous because she can see that the whole arrangement is already tearing at the seams.
