It was such a long but satisfying process for the Doctor to grow into the man River Song had just left in Silence in the Library. Capaldi captured so much of the Doctor's character so well and without it seeming forced.

SERIOUSLY one of my top doctor who moments of all time, god 12's episodes were so touching

When the peak in a Sci-fi series that has cruel and violent gods, reality breaking events, space/time travel and inter dimensional wars is a man and his wife finally getting to embrace each other

This may be my favorite Christmas episode! "Go ahead! Scan the whole sector! The Doctor wouldn't be stupid enough or care enough to be standing here with me!"
