Like everybody else - I watched 'M*A*S*H. Over the years- every single character had brought me to extreme laughter or tears (except Frank) Lol Major Margaret Houlihan was different. Most horses never reach this incredible age, but this gentle old soul is still here, still curious, and still finding joy in life's sweetest moments. Because he no longer has any teeth, every meal is prepared with extra care. So today, he got a surprise that was soft enough to enjoy—a giant watermelon. Watching him slowly savor every bite, completely content beneath the towering redwoods, is the kind of moment that reminds you what truly matters. And, of course, no watermelon goes to waste. His sons happily stepped in to finish what Dad couldn't, making the ending just as heartwarming as the beginning. Our animals give us their youth, their trust, and some of the best years of our lives. Growing old is a privilege, and they deserve to spend every one of their golden years surrounded by comfort, patience, and love. Here's to 42 amazing years for one very special horse.
