This scene (Superman 3) scared me witless as a kid. Anyone else?

and these things from beastmaster

that scene and the roger rabbit steam roller scene

All designed by Gus on cocktail napkins!

Movie that scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid: Invaders from Mars (1986)...

It scared me too! That and Large Marge

This scene haunted me for a long time as a kid!

It was odd, given that the rest of the movie was pretty much a comedy, a vehicle for Richard Pryor, who was pretty big at the time. Then suddenly they threw that scene in, which was genuinely creepy.

The original Cyberdyne

Absolute nightmare fuel. I got nervous even clicking it just now. Hilarious how silly it looks

The staff of nightmares, this is the stuff of nightmares…

First borg queen

I had forgotten about that. That scream is primordial.

So many nightmares

this and the guy self face peeling in Poltergeist

I think I was approaching my teens when this came out, so it didn’t bother me too much. The scene that got me was Maximilian in The Black Hole (1979) food processing the innards out of Anthony Perkins I think it was.

That scene had no business being so disturbing!

Superman 3 invented...Borg assimilation before Star Trek! 😮

Star Trek TNG and Voyager Fans:

Yeah me too. Almost as scary as this

Well. Thanks for digging up THIS buried memory.

That did for sure...! And this...

Scared the crap out of me.

This from British TV gave me some right fucking nightmares especially when he took his own head off.

Terrifying!! Right up there with the old man from Poltergeist 2!!!

It's pretty corny in retrospect but it disturbed me as a kid

My brother and I would change the channel when this scene came on. 😂

Absolute pure nightmare fuel as a kid...Still don't like watching it now and I'm nearly 50!

Evil Superman’s humor negates any cyborg 🤣

Same director as Beatles “ hard days night”.

This, plus the Fembots from Bionic Woman. Both of those lived in my childhood nightmares for quite a while.

Yes. This scene and the scene from Halloween 3
