This is the second time in a year this place has been invaded. Some guys from the opposition tried to take this place some time beginning of this year and I managed to stop them with the support of the residents. I am appealing to the government, the council and all the stakeholders who can help us save this place to kindly intervene. We cannot allow our kids to be disadvantaged by these unscrupulous people. There will be gnashing of teeth after CAB3– Chadzamira MORRIS BISHI MASVINGO – Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira has warned party members opposing Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3 (CAB3) that there is going to be gnashing of teeth when that process is done and dusted. Speaking at a Zanu PF Provincial Inter-district Meeting at Clovelly in Masvingo on Saturday, Chadzamira told the gathering that he and the Minister of State for Security, Lovemore Matuke are aware of the political activities of every MP and councilor and secret meetings that are being held to derail the passage of the Bill. CAB3 if passed will allow President Mnangagwa to rule for another two years after 2028 without going to an election and the same will apply to MPs. There is a public outcry over the amendment process with lawyers arguing that extending Mnangagwa and Parliament’s life without a referendum is illegal. A senior AirForce officer based at Magama Tongogara Airbase in Gweru, Stafford Ncube and Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Officer Commanding Midlands, Somemore Gate allegedly took a tractor and ploughed down 2023 opposition Parliamentary candidate for Chirumhanzi South Constituency, Patrick Cheza's 3-week-old maize crop in a wrangle over a farm in Mvuma that the latter was allocated by the Ministry of Lands.The incident happened on Saturday and the total cost of the destroyed 2-hectares is US$2K. The two senior security officers drove to Cheza's farm using unmarked new Ford Rangers which Government is splashing on senior civil servants, musicians and Zanu PF officials. The matter was reported at Mvuma Police Station under RRB 5909845. The officers' action is in contempt of a court case of the same matter which is before a judge at the High Court in Masvingo. Zimbabweans reduced to animals.... Zanu PF's hold on power is strengthened by the poverty of the people. This party has deliberately weaponised poverty and forced villagers to focus on survival. The focus of the life of a Zimbabwean villager today is on Government food aid. The rest of things that are not immediate, like good roads, medicine at the clinic, good schools, employment are not an issue. The villagers' struggle is to look 'clean' in the eyes of a Zanu PF councilor, Chief and MP so that their names appear on the list of those who get food aid. We always hear about women being “trapped by a man,” but why don’t we ever hear about all the women who are “career trapped.” They do what they’re told, take out the college loans, only to realize later that they want to be home with their kids… but they can’t be because it’s too expensive & they have to pay back their debt. Would a system that really cared about women set them up to fail this way? Why aren’t young girls taught how they can make money from home? I say it’s intentional.
