Visited the under construction site of Munawar Chowrangi Underpass. Happy to inform that the construction/structural work has been completed & carpeting of the underpass will be carried out after the Juloos of 12th Muharram. After opening the underpass for traffic in July, sidelines will also be reconstructed. The pipe visible inside the underpass is a gas supply line which is also being relocated #KarachiWorks #HamaraShehar

The BJP’s threat to block the passage of the PDP’s land regularisation (anti-bulldozer) bill which they branded as the “Land Jihad Bill” was fulfilled today, ironically, by the ruling NC government itself. The Chief Minister, who had earlier assured that any pro people initiative from the PDP would face no obstacles under his leadership, has once again reneged on his word. This marks yet another U-turn added to his growing list of unfulfilled guarantees and promises. It is deeply unfortunate that a bill aimed at securing a roof over the heads of the poorest of the poor is now being portrayed as an act of land grabbing. Even more tragic is that it was rejected by the very House these people overwhelmingly trusted and elected barely a year ago.

Honorable CM Omar Abdullah's press conference today was not only disheartening but an outright misrepresentation of the discussions that happened between him & the student delegation on the issue of RESERVATION. By diverting the focus towards jobs & land rights, which are fundamentally the government's responsibilities, he is attempting to sabotage & dilute the core demands surrounding reservations. This is a clear attempt to mislead the youth and deflect accountability. Let us remind the students, stakeholders, and people of J&K of the actual points discussed during the meeting on the day of protest: 1. Resolution of the reservation issue within six months from the date of formation of sub committee 2. Immediate action on actionable items within 15 days. 3. A slowdown of recruitment policies until the reservation issue is resolved. 4. Publication of the minutes of the meeting for transparency & accountability. The CM’s failure to honor these commitments reflects a disregard for the promises made. A little girl got bitten by a snake and she is being taken to the hospital in Karimnagar in an emergency vehicle. However, due to the inficient Bandi Sanjay who happens to be the member of parliament of Karimnagar constituency, this road over bridge has been under construction since last two years and so the Ambulance was stuck in the traffic near the railway track near Theegalaguttapally. This MP who also happens to be the MOS home department of India has no shame or whatsoever and has no intention to finish this project anytime sooner. Many people are suffering daily because of the delay in construction of this ROB. #UselessMPBandiSanjay

The Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court has recorded the statement made by the learned Counsel appearing for the Department that the necessary orders regarding the extension are likely to be passed by tomorrow, and a copy of the same shall be placed before the Court. It was further confirmed that the matter is presently under active consideration of the CBDT, and in all probability, the requisite notification/order is expected to be issued by tomorrow

Mr Kamutando Project Director speaks on the construction of the 352 bed hostel for boys which is part of the larger project which involves the completed girls hostel, Dinning, warden houses. The target is to reach 60% completion by year end, if its done early enough the roofing will be done before the year ends. Previously students were staying on campus (hostels provided by the University) and the majority off campus. Upon completion the 352 bedswill significantly ease accomodation challenges to those students who do not have options to stay off campus.

The road construction on Princess Park Street has been progressing quite well and we grateful for the continued support and patience of the community and road users. The final road layer is in progress and it is anticipated that the surfacing be completed by Friday 12 December 2025. The safety of the road users is the core priority and it is for this reason that the Roads and Transport will implement pre-markings and install temporary stop signs for the entire festive season as the road will be open for traffic soon. As the MMC for Roads and Transport I have visited the site on regular basis since the commencement of construction ,to ensure that the set milestones and commitments to the residents of Tshwane are fulfilled.
