unfortunately this clip skips the hard cut it does right after this to the archival ground scanning footage which was the most effective single edit of last year for me

I completely agree and I was gonna keep it in but I kinda didn’t wanna spoil that cut in case anyone hasn’t seen it yet, it’s just so impactful on first viewing

I remember reading this scene in the book and having to put it down for the day after When I saw this in the film, goosebumps, it was exactly how I imagined it.

After watching the film i’m super interested to see what the book is like

I love that in the book it hammers home that Griff is a dumb guy, can’t count, and he literally thought it was still the 2nd round, but that in the movie it feels more like he made a conscious decision to defy orders and not take a dive, only to then just immediately regret it.

god it’s so good. the way that Griff and Spencer are implemented in the final montage sequence really hit me too
