Congress will find money for just about anything. You'd think somewhere in that mountain of spending, $750 to background check the staff working in the People's House would make the cut. Nope. It's stunning this hasn’t been fixed already. If you're going to work in the People's House, you should have to undergo a background check first. That's not controversial. It's common sense. Close the loophole. Require background checks. Pass H.Res. 500.
