From all I’ve gathered on this matter. This report is a lie and libellous. The doctor was not suspended in SA. The healthcare regulatory body in Alberta Canada has done their due diligence and stood with the doctor. This is a hate campaign.

I have a Nigerian doctor in Kelowna who was the only one accepting new patients when I moved here. I can barely understand a word he says, he is extremely rude, and he has dropped the ball more than once. Several people I worked with also went to him and had the same experience. In one case, a coworker needed additional tests after a mammogram that later confirmed she had cancer. The doctor never called to inform her of the results and sat on them for many weeks. She only found out when an oncologist’s office contacted her to schedule an appointment.

Those Nigerian crooks are a problem here in SA alot. Our government isn't serious in fighting this rot as we would love.

Being suspended by a medical board of any country doesn’t make one a fake Dr. All the Canadian trained doctors who have ever made mistakes or missed diagnoses leading to the death of patients are hereby classified FAKE.

I suspected this was going on. In Barrie Ontario, new Nigerian Doctors have flooded in taking new patients. I was one and upon my 1st visit it was clear he was a fraud

..real doctors do not want to work in our corrupt and evil system, so now shortage so Canada will import any who have some type of paperwork, and now adays you can get excellent fake documents, diplomas, ect....in BC we have had a couple of fake nurses...the system is evil

Imagine listening to a bunch of illiterate whites who have no idea how medical licensure work. As a Nigerian doc who worked 10yrs in the 🇬🇧 and moved 🇦🇺. I applied to remove my licence in the UK as I no longer practice there to avoid paying practising fees.

Canadian medical licensing is one of the hardest in the world. You have to pass rigorous qualifying exams before you can even practice. A lot of doctors who don’t make it end up moving to the US (where it’s easier) or switching to other medical fields. This “fake Nigerian doctors” claim is mostly BS.

His explanation makes perfect sense and this white dude is the one with comprehension problems. He was never suspended. He suspended his own license because he no longer works there. How’s that SO hard for anyone to understand?

I can’t believe they don’t properly check these doctors’ licences before letting them practise here. This is crazy to me. I’m fortunate that I’ve had the same doctor for the last 30 years. It’s frightening to think that if she ever left, I’d have to do a detailed check on any new doctor who comes from outside Canada and wasn’t educated here.

While one can not rule out “fake doctors”, it has to be said that most doctors “suspend” their licence to practice when they relocate to another country, to avoid paying professional fees in 2 countries. It does not mean they are “suspended” in a punitive sense. Be guided.

There are plenty of fake Nigerian doctors in South Africa, particularly in places like Hillbrow & Sunnyside, where there have been allegations of bogus doctors, fake medical certificates, illegal drug manufacturing & backstreet abortions. Nigerians are the worst creatures on planet Earth. I wish they could finally be banned from all countries and forced to stay only in Nigeria. Maybe then they would understand the seriousness of their actions!
