The egg belongs to an emu. Here's a video of it. Here in the video, it is the male that's brooding over the eggs. Once female emus lay eggs, they leave it to the male and start looking for another male. After mating, they lay eggs for that one to look after too. They keep doing this as much as they can till the mating season is over. It's the male that'll look after the eggs and the chicks when they hatch. The female only lays egg and move on. Tainkyu ✌🏾

The best, most unique creature in One Million B.C. (1966) is Archelon. Just a whale-sized sea turtle and but has something in it maybe because it's a rare type of creature for this sort of setting. And they tet it just leave which is rare for a Harryhausen creature.
