This is a great video by Mike Winger. Many people who don’t know my story think I grew up in the church. I actually grew up in an Atheist home and I was told not to question science or the belief that there is no God. I had many questions and I was encouraged not to ask them. That doesn’t sound like critical thinking or free thinking. Search for the truth yourself to be sure of what you believe. That’s why I encourage Christians to know what you believe and why you believe it.

You only get this one life, I always feel like we gotta try, if possible — and I say if possible because I’m always aware that people are encountering massive, massive challenges, and are overcoming traumas and circumstances beyond their control, and the world is insane, there’s so many things and pressure, but, again, we only have this one life, and I think about that a lot. I just think, if there’s a way to just be kinder to yourself, and even if it’s about just being here today, putting in this work, and if you’ve done this a couple of years, great, and you’re gonna do it again or not, or you’re gonna try something else. But they think that ‘confrontational’ means I’m grabbing people by the lapels and slamming them against the wall and yelling. That’s not what I mean by confrontation.” The former CEO of Snowflake and ServiceNow continues: “Confrontation is about confronting issues and situations. When you see something that is either not good, not good enough, or can be better, you need to talk to the team and people responsible to bring them along in your thinking.” In Frank’s view, the framing should be: “this is why I am saying this, what do you think?” The goal of the conversation is to help them see the problems you’re seeing. You should be driving them to a “higher level of aspiration,” he explains. “I often start the conversation with, ‘How do you think things are going?’ I’m not telling them ‘you suck,’ or ‘things are terrible.’ Let them talk. And then you can say, ‘Well what about this?’ And all of a sudden, the perspective has opened up and changed. So the challenge is bringing them along in your thinking — then it’s not confrontational… Obviously there’s finesse and subtlety. You’re dealing with people. You don’t want to destroy them. You want to build them, not bring them down.” You need to help them grow: “People have a tendency to go sideways. They rinse and repeat and keep doing the same things. You can’t in a high-growth company. You need to become a different version of yourself. I’m trying to help them think through that. What does that look like? You’re not too old. You’re not too broken. And you’re not too far gone. I’m turning 62 in 2 weeks. I post videos of myself training, but not to impress anyone. I’m not chasing likes. I’m not trying to prove I’m elite. And I’m not pretending everyone should be able to do what I do. There was a time, like for many of you, when I struggled to find time to train at all. Three young kids. A demanding job. Little balance. Fitness wasn’t even on the back burner—it was off the stove entirely. But it came back. With work. With consistency. With a mindset shift. I don’t post because I think you should do exactly what I do. I post because I want to show you what’s possible. Because we lose what we don’t train. Because we assume age means decline. Because we assume the risk is too high. And because we assume—somewhere deep down that it’s too late. But it’s not. You may not aim to lift a certain weight or hit a specific number. But you can move better. You can get stronger. You can build resilience. And you can surprise yourself. This isn’t about showing off. It’s about showing up... to see what’s possible for you.

You’re not too old. You’re not too broken. And you’re not too far gone. I’m turning 62 in 2 weeks. I post videos of myself training, but not to impress anyone. I’m not chasing likes. I’m not trying to prove I’m elite. And I’m not pretending everyone should be able to do what I do. There was a time, like for many of you, when I struggled to find time to train at all. Three young kids. A demanding job. Little balance. Fitness wasn’t even on the back burner—it was off the stove entirely. But it came back. With work. With consistency. With a mindset shift. I don’t post because I think you should do exactly what I do. I post because I want to show you what’s possible. Because we lose what we don’t train. Because we assume age means decline. Because we assume the risk is too high. And because we assume—somewhere deep down that it’s too late. But it’s not. You may not aim to lift a certain weight or hit a specific number. But you can move better. You can get stronger. You can build resilience. And you can surprise yourself. This isn’t about showing off. It’s about showing up... to see what’s possible for you.
