Damon’s quietly been snubbed by the Academy a handful of times over the course of his career & this might be the most egregious. He holds this entire film together along with Leo.

This abandoned house might be one of the weirdest I’ve ever seen — and the whole thing revolves around an indoor pool complete with sand. It was clearly designed to feel like a beach… inside the house. The layout is very strange: to get to the kids’ bedrooms, you have to walk through the pool area. There’s shag carpet on the floors and walls, a beetle car bed, a couple of jacuzzi type tubs in at least two of the kids' rooms, and an entire room packed with ceramic making items. It’s giving full 1970s fever dream. Would you ever want to live in a house built around an indoor pool like this?
