Amazing song, would be one of the best in any year. Just the styling didn’t match at all and made it not seriously takeable.

Nobody ‘deserves’ last place in all honesty. It just happens when a song is nice but doesn’t have much appeal or doesn’t stand out in a lineup of 26 songs. This was a prime candidate. It’s nice, it’s inoffensive, but who looked at this and thought ‘best song this year’

I thought it was memorable because of the styling, actually. It drove attention to the song that also wasn’t bad at all, though not amazing. But it’s definitely one if the few non-top entries from that year that I still can easily recall, both the song and the look.

The staging did not work with that song at all
