This song takes me back to a world that doesn’t exist anymore………

I’m actually chocked up with sadness remembering and knowing we can never go back to that 🥹🫶🙏

Takes me back to a better place, a better time. I will always love this song.

So true. It clears your mind from the bullshit of modern IPhone brainwashed society.

Yes…and what a blessing it was to live in that world.

I would love to sail away, back to those days. Makes me homesick.

This world does exist in our memory. To all of us that are old enough to remember. It was a space and time. That we can close our eyes. And meditate on. Those dried up paint brushes. And dehydrated oils ; 'can' paint that picture again.

When this song came out, times were good. The beginning of the best decade.

I had that album. Beginning of the 80's basically. Ride Like the Wind was the emotional flip side. Does bring back memories.

Pretty song and really talented artist. MTV killed his career because he wasn’t anorexic looking enough.

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Have faith. Better days are coming.

Funny how certain soundtracks take you back to earlier chapters of your life... Where were you in the summer of '79?

I'd been listening to this a lot recently. Chris was treated very badly as MTV gained popularity because his face didn't fit their no talent, trashy looks policy. But this song is sublime and timeless. A perfect anecdote to madness and chaos we have now.

This was the age where artists played instruments, wrote songs and sang like an angels. They had talent. They worked hard. They traveled the country. They played at dances, high schools and small venues. These folks now are not artists or musicians.

You got that right! Great song!

@ViKu1111 Growing up in the 70's and 80's will never be surpassed. Ever.

Riding down the road in my hubby’s ‘71 corvette with the top down and it’s playing on the radio 📻

Someone asked him why "sailing". He replied it could have been anything, like "bowling". BO-LING, takes me away... not the same ring lol.

It does. It's just hiding on vinyl.

I once heard this drifting from a nearby room as I waited for a crucial tutorial review. Ethereal. Instantly calmed my troubled thoughts.

80’s sound track. Takes you back like no other song. And it’s an incredible song.

I never liked that song until I was an adult. Lol I just recently bought his GHits. I was surprised how many hit songs he had. My best friend is kind of a weirdo. He has a long unhealthy hate for this song 😂 idk why either.

No crazy crowds or flashing light shows just people enjoying and appreciating the music. 🤝🤝🤝

That song never gets old.

Music like this will never ever disappear🎵❤️❤️❤️

Love these Time Machine moments. I get whiplash sometimes. Thanks for posting.

I’m crying 😢 so beautiful

We really grew up with great music!

Me too. Chris is a great artist. Well recognized by his peers.

Listened to it just this morning - always calming.

Didn’t he do Arthur’s Theme?

Dang this song reminds me of my Dad😢

I've seen him play the guitar. Christopher can wale on it like Gerry Rafferty and Warren Haynes.

This song came out when we were teenagers, living by the ocean, skipping class to take out the Hobie Cat. Sometimes driving over causeway late at night to sleep on the trampoline. It was never just a song. I can’t listen to it, many understand why. It “doesn’t exist anymore”.

This is the yachtiest of all yacht rock songs.
