That one is a mom and she needs to make milk for her babies.

A small wild bird landed on my hand in my back yard yesterday. I think it was because of the heat. I gave it some water, but he didn't want to leave my hand. Eventually, he hopped back in his nest in my shed after it cooled down a bit.

This one waited for me to add water to a dog dish on a 96 degree day in my backyard.

Kinda crazy that they recognize bottled water as a source of water. They have watched and worked out what it is.

Poor thing! Squirrels have a hard time finding water when it doesn't rain.

Sure, this is "cute" and everything, but animals need a source of water, especially during these extremely hot and dry weeks during the summer months. I have to fill my bird bath about 3 times a day as birds, squirrels and deer frequent it constantly to drink the water. Everyone should do this if you are able. The critters will appreciate it very much!

We are part of their food and water chain now. It’s like the deer and animals in snowy winters where people put out hay along the roads. The animals come to depend on it.

The cutest thing i have seen in a long time! I think its a first where an animal has literally begged for water. Afterwards? "That felt soo good,thank you kind sir!" It was like its energy levels came back,zooming across the ground! I thought Squirrels were alot more shy then this,but i guess when you are really thirsty and you spot someone carrying water,you do anything to get a sip.....even if you are an animal. The calmness of this cutie while enjoying the water,i could watch it all day. 😍

I took this Mountain tram up to a popular viewing spot in Oregon, wallawa Lake. At the top, the mountain squirrels and little critters are not afraid and bumm free food off the tourists all the time, SO CUTE...!!!

I don't care if they do raid the bird feeders. I love squirrels.

Aweee I think squirrels are low key cute. There used to be a squirrel that would come on my porch every morning and wait patiently for me to put some water and nuts out for him he would jump on my screen to get my attention. 💙
