We left before a fire even started and then it was too dangerous to go back - so I quite literally have nothing with me — a computer, a few pieces of jewelry, a black turtleneck, a Japanese robe, and a pair of neon green cowboy boots…the essentials right? I keep replaying how I could have been more prepared, punishing myself as I process in a futile attempt to imagine control in the chaos. So it is… I’m praying my beloved “disco cabin” survives, preparing for the worse, and ultimately, accepting that both LA and our lives may be forever changed. 🫶

I've always been a big fan of Freeez's I.O.U. It's one of those records that helped shape dance music without a lot of people even realizing it. 🔥 So when KRYDER, The Young Punx and I started working on AEIOU, the goal wasn't to recreate an '80s classic, but to build on what made it so special and turn it into something that feels fresh on today's dancefloors. I've been playing this one out for a while now and it's always been a lot of fun to see the reactions. AEIOU is out this week on Heldeep Records 😎❤️

The first video only lived on Team Liquid IG stories for the day, so I wanted to post it here to give it a permanent home. What started as simple flat renders turned into a small animations experiment. I used a basic rig and filmed myself as reference (because that’s what animators actually do, reference is everything), and just went for it. The funny part is, once I took that risk, the creative ideas started flowing. Pushing past the safe option is what made this feel more alive and if I hadn’t tried, this videos would never have existed. It’s simple, but I’m genuinely proud of how it turned out, especially since this is far outside my comfort zone. Sometimes the best growth comes from just trying. I wanted to share that yesterday I was sitting practically right next to the girl who got Tae’s shirt 🥹😭 As you can imagine, she was in complete shock and was hugging the shirt as if it were the most precious thing in the world (which it was) 💗 She was Asian and didn't speak Spanish. Several people were taking photos of her, but I just looked at her, smiled, and hugged myself so she could feel how happy that moment made me (I wanted to respect her space). She gave me a huge smile, made a heart shape with her hands, and gave me an OK. It was such a special moment 💜

We were never fully satisfied with the animated components available outside. Some looked good but were hard to customize. Some were easy to use but felt too basic. So 2 months ago, we started building our own. It started as a Framer component library. Then we expanded it to Next.js and MCP, so people can use it with code and AI builders too. Now we’re finally launching the beta on July 2, 11 AM IST. Only for the first 500 users. If you’re building animated websites, this will save you a lot of time. And I think you’re going to love this.

Yaxel Lendeborg on what he’s going to do this summer to prepare for next season: “I keep hearing that my hips are stiff, so I got to figure out how to loosen up my hips. A lot of I’ve been hearing too is like a point-of-attack defender, something like that. So I want to try to work on those two things, just the little things to fix that up. And then just continue to start shooting the ball consistently and get a quicker release so I can get it off a little better.”

For the facial animations in my game, I use a technique that yields results similar to L.A. Noire. To keep it simple: I first generate a facial animation video using AI like LTX 2. Then, I create a video depth map from that animation and project it onto a face mask. Using vertex displacement, the depth map dynamically deforms the face as the character speaks. The result looks good in standalone VR. I actually created this workflow long time ago:
