This Still HITS 🙌🏾

Only white girl that had the hood in a stronger chokehold in the 80s was cocaine!! 😂😂

Yes it does she had some timeless hits

Without a doubt the most soulful white singer ever, RIP Teena Marie

Teena Marie (Mary Christine Brockert) was born in Santa Monica, California, to Thomas Leslie Brockert, and Mary Anne (Boehme) Brockert. She was raised in a culturally diverse family with Belgian, Portuguese, Italian, Irish, and Native American roots.

Teena Marie had it rockin back in the day

Hope she's resting easy. Folks did not play about Lady T All-Time 1st Pick in the Racial Draft 🤣

@olesoul57_2 Teeeennnnnnaaaa Marie

Saw one of the best concerts a few months before she passed. Constitution Hall. The Whispers & Teena.

Motown Live had some amazing guests while it was on the air, but Teena Marie OWNED the venue that night & legit changed everyone's life. An *actual* performance for the ages.

Teena Marie & Bobby Caldwell were 2 moments in the jukebox of my youth when my jaw dropped they were White.

@kayla_9908 So don't you have no doubt, I'm gonna spell it out I'll hip you to the T, that is! I got the best, the most, Baby, from coast to coast! And I don't wanna boast, But I love you Square Biz! 🤗💜💫✨🤌🏾🔥🫶🏽🎤

Hol up I didn't know shes white wtf! 😂 Welp that shit still hit!!!

@bjjones__ Out of all the white people in the word , we claim Teena Marie and Mariah Carey as one of us.

She would be bigger than taylor swift if she was in this era

Black famous: When she passed i say a post from a Blk woman saying she remarked to a white coworker, "Terrible about Teena Marie" and the white coworker responded with a hard "who ????"

Shakespeare. Maya Angelou. And Nikki Giovanni just to name a few .

We lost one of the realest ones right here. 🕊️💕🎶🎤😭

@southsidecurt1 Jojo for the biopic

Gets you out your seat!!!!

This white girl sung this damn song

They need to do a special tribute honoring her life and legacy.

Teena!!!🙌🏾

True story the peeps at Motown didn't wanna get with Lady T...Slick Rick said let me work with her and the rest was musical history and we were sooo blessed to be in that time..Rick actually saved a falling Motown from dam near going under

@groove_sdc Who didn’t know those words!

The White Soul Sista🔥🔥🔥🔥

White Chocolate

All the real hoes in the house that night

If you were ali e at the time Then you know ( Rick James Knew! )

I'm so glad I lived through her era. It was even better hearing it for the first time in the early eighties.

💯💯💯

Just a great “feel good” song you could literally listen to ALL DAY LONG & never get bored hearing it!

Teena was awesome 😎
