Simple, elephants were made to eat what they eat. Humans are naturally Omnivores. If some humans want to be Vegan, that's a choice, and they need to make up for what they are missing. The idea of lab grown meat is interesting. Side note: cats are Carnivores, ppl. Dogs are Omnivores.

Herbivores can digest cellulose extracting nutrients from plants which carnivores can't. They have to eat nearly the entire day to get the nutrients they need from plants and shrubs
