The team at CareForGaza delivered an amazing performance in their first phase of providing clean drinking water to the displaced families on a large scale. Access to the basic human right to clean drinking water is not even safe as the survivors are being rained down with bombs and the water filtration system and other sanitation facilities are being destroyed. We would like to extend our gratitude to the donors who are helping us provide for the people in these challenging circumstances.

WOW 🚨 American is putting in a new water system and asked her water company to test for hormones in the tap water, she says the state WON’T ALLOW IT “I needed to call a water company to get my water tested before I put in a reverse osmosis system in my house. And they were saying the basic things that they tested for, you know, like lead and chlorine and bullsh*t. And I said, okay, well can you test for hormones as well? Oh, the state doesn't allow us to do that. Excuse me. What? There's a difference between, oh, we're unable to test for that and the state will not allow us to do it.”

My friend currently lives in this flat. He told me that the fire brigade’s water doesn’t reach the upper floors. This building is only 15 floors tall. This is the corner just outside my home in Lutyens’ Delhi. Woke up to find my entire home under a foot of water — every room. Carpets and furniture, indeed anything on the ground, ruined. Apparently the storm water drains in the neighbourhood are all clogged so the water had no place to go. And they switched off the electricity since 6 am for fear of electrocuting people. Warned my Parliament colleagues that I might not make it there without a boat. But the city managed to pump water out of the roads and I did arrive in time!
