Obviously this is just a sneak peek and we do not have the full context, but so what if Meredith was looking to Bronwyn for information about what was said about her? Andddd we see where it went south for Meredith and Mary. Tbh Mary was scolding both of them equally but I know Mary doesn’t play about someone disrespecting her and her events so this was probably what did it for her. Also Mary is extreme like there’s no in between so she probably flipped on Meredith in that very moment and add to that her budding friendship with Angie, Whitney and Bronwyn. Lisa says she felt completely alone in that moment and that if she could have swum to shore, she would have. That experience is why she felt so much empathy for Meredith.
