I don’t see this happening. It would be a bloodbath for the Russian army. It would take an enormous amount of men and material to be successful. If Russia were to take the west bank of the Dnieper it would be near impossible to support logistically.

Crossing the river is honestly not a great move unless the UKR forces in the area are utterly depleted. I see this more as a fixing move to keep UKR from moving forces elsewhere.
