I'm playing something very similar now, I def see the potential. What do you think about loki atm?

His neutral seems pretty good but I'm having trouble finding ways to set stuff up with him until I land a hit. His blockstrings don't seem that great until you get them cornered. I wanted to use him to set up Storm mix but I'm finding Star-Lord way better for it

o interesting, what do you do with storm when you get tagged in with a bunch of + frames? Even midscreen i think 623M can be good even if not sandwiched cause you can check them for trying to hit out and it covers jump as long as you are close enough

It's mostly that you can't true string into stuff very easily because he has a lot of pushback and also only 5H > 22L/M is a true string to set up Storm. Just for comparison with Star-Lord, I think she really likes this structuring

Yea makes sense, I'll see if I can cook something up. I'm debating between these 5L Blade / storm/ loki / magneto / goblin, I know blade can def set this up so maybe that's the play lol

Yeah if you find more with Loki I would love to see it. I'm admittedly really focused on Storm right now so I haven't quite got the Loki scrolls yet lol I would LOVE to play him with Storm and Goblin

So if the opponent is blocking low during this combo, are they stuck in low block stun due to Goblin’s glider? If they aren’t stuck blocking low, this ain’t broken 😉 the glider is a cross up tool though💯 Getting hit would be a skill issue at best since they’d see Storm flying

this is insane i'm trying to replicate this for my team, how do you setup for the ground 236L hit with goblin for the combo limit, I can't get it to combo from j.22L

It’s actually pretty specific, took me a bit to figure it out myself. You need to hold forward while doing 236L, then delay the second batarang while holding down-back, so it corrects your height while moving backwards enough to get the 22L to connect and you to land early>>>

You need to go be down-back specifically (Not just down) so that the grounded 236L both hits late (Better frame advantage) and spaced to beat roll without backdash

I labbed it and the oki works the same even if you finish the combo in the corner and then backdash, 22h tagout still catches jumps and you jump past every defensive mechanic, I feel like its never worth it to go for your ender.

also from what I labbed the backdash into 22h tagout can end up functioning as an additional mixup if you want it to, because doing a shorter backdash lets you end up on corner side after tagout, and I think you can make it super ambigious

Lmao yeah I’ve heard it does that still. RIP I like the backdash variant too because you do get the left/right but for Mag specifically you want to keep corner for the j.H confirm, so it depends on team I guess SonicFox’s ender is super easy applicable for this oki

oh yeah true for mag its def better, also I feel like some chars definitely have some mix that benefits from the extra advantage

So, how do you get out of Oki there? You can't really jump out bcs the goblin is firing and using the universal counter is likely gonna get you crossover instead, no?
