This tech revolutionized complex shapes forever. Before this machine, making complex curved surfaces was slow, expensive and inaccurate.

Nice...

We had pixels, here are pressels.

I wants one- especially if each piston has sensors for feedback for stress strain tracking. In some cases, getting the data consistently can be more valuable than the part. At least in my opinion 😂
At first, I thought this was about Forbidden American Cheese.

@Dirg_rocketdyne 緩衝材の選択次第でピン跡が残るよね。あとスプリングバックも計算して形状を作るのかな?

Chinese. Should have been made in America. We would have, but….

"forever" lmao my guy it's been 6 months

You could make cool looking paninis with that!

This is nuts

cool hardware but the real unlock is cad to gcode automation here

Interesting😎

I want this at my home

such a machinery for such a simple process

@grok what is the name of this machine and how much does it cost?

Impressive

This is really valuable for aluminum boat building!

Sweet!

@EdwardMehr what do you think about this tech? video is slop of course.

this is cool. I would have thought hexagon layout allows more precision for these shapes per cost, but maybe the regular square lattice is just so much simpler in practice

It’s quicker and cheaper, but it’s definitely not ' 'accurate' The traditional deep-drawing process is only worthwhile for large production runs; the initial costs are high and it’s labour-intensive, but it’s more precise than any other method.

This is why manufacturing is becoming more software-defined. The advantage is shifting from massive factories to those that can turn digital designs into physical parts with the least friction.

Wishing you positivity today!
