I totally agree. I could go on about my assumptions, but at a glance, Instagram values higher-quality, produced content, whereas TikTok is more 'low quality + funny'. 'Edited' stuff on TikTok looks like an ad in contrast to the usual stuff on there, whereas Insta is where more people follow digital creators for their work, not necessarily what they find funny. TLDR - think about the reason you'd use the two platforms. In my mind, one is to relax/unwind, and the other is to support other creators and find inspiration.
