Katalin didn’t deserve this 😡 We need your help. Katalin has been treated appallingly by a potential adopter and as a result has missed out on other much needed homes. Katalin was reserved for a home in Sevilla. Everything was approved but the adopter wanted to wait until November before picking her up. Just recently we checked in as the time was getting closer to start finalising everything and the adopter told us she had adopted another dog. I can’t believe she wasn’t even going to tell us whilst Katalin was marked as reserved on the webpage. I’ve never felt so appalled at the lack of education by people that claim to care about these dogs. Many of you will say Katalin had a lucky escape. I agree, but she’s lost out on other homes. This leaves me feeling really sad for Katalin mainly because she’s struggling so much in the kennels and does so much better once outside, so going home soon is a must for her. Can we make up for this and share her far and wide to try to find her another home? 🙏🏻❤️ Let’s all together get this worried girl a proper home ❤️ Katalin is a sweet gentle girl approx 3yrs old, very sensitive and will need time to bond. This is the pen of Leah, the morning after her first night's sleep here. Every black dot you see is a tick. They are black because they're full of her blood, and growing. (This is one of the reasons why I have only white bedding and floor coverings. If she was in newspaper you'd never see this). Poor little Leah is absolutely smothered in hundreds of ticks, and has fleas, too. Despite the old wives' tale, it's very rare for a hedgehog to have fleas. So rare in fact, that a professor of entomology who studies these sorts of things pays me £20 a go when I send him fleas. Additionally, hedgehog fleas are species-specific, so they can't infest or live on any other animal. A hedgehog has to be seriously ill or incredibly weak to attract ectoparasites such as ticks and fleas. And poor Leah is that weak - she is suffering from starvation, AND she has just given birth. A couple clearing out their shed found poor little Leah huddled with her babies in a pile of blankets, where she'd given birth. They live in army barracks, and their garden is tiny, with no suitable hedgehog habitat. Everywhere is kept 'neat'. Despite this, somehow Leah survived. With a shed substituting for a hedgerow and army blankets instead of leaves and moss, Leah managed to make a maternity nest and have her precious babies. But with no food, she was unable to produce enough milk to feed them, and one by one, the babies died. By the time she was found, out of the 7 babies she had given birth to, only 3 were still alive. I saw the bodies so could tell how many days they had survived. The lovely finders had no idea that things were so desperate for our hedgehogs, and that the dramatic decline in insects, due to the way we are 'tidying' our gardens, meant that they are now suffering starvation. Hedgehogs don't eat slugs and snails, they eat beetles and catapillars. Caterpillars make up almost half a hedgehog's diet, and their emergence is perfectly timed with peak baby season, the time of most need. We're in June, peak butterfly time, but how many have you seen lately? Like most people, the finders were completely unaware of how our bad destructive habits are impacting our precious wildlife, until seeing it with their own eyes. They are now committed to improving not just their garden, but the whole Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, and went home armed with leaflets and kitten biscuits and determination. Meanwhile poor tick infested Leah and her 3 surviving babies are safe and warm here, and she's getting good nourishment and care. It's so important these tiny 5 day old babies don't fall victim to the ticks, as they would not survive. I can't use drugs or chemicals as Leah is far too weak and her babies far too vulnerable. So it's just a matter of cleaning her out every day - the very last thing to be subjecting a new mum to. Despite all her hardship, and me meddling, she's a wonderful mum and doing her best to nurture her sweet babies. Last night, her first night here, she ate an entire dish of special Mother and Baby food - enough normally for 2 or 3 hedgehogs. The sight of that empty dish absolutely broke me. It's too early for a prognosis on Leah and the babies, but already, because of them, her little part of the world is going to become more hedgehog-friendly.

Listen carefully to this, because he’s right. Throughout this whole tragic affair, I can hand on heart say, I have tried to do exactly what former President Obama suggests. He recognizes that while BOTH sides MUST take responsibility for this senseless disregard for life, we have to speak to THIS MOMENT and in this moment, Benjamin Netanyahu MUST recognize that the answer to this 70 year old problem is NOT to kill innocent Palestinians. Now he will claim, he does not intend to kill innocent civilians and while technically, it’s a statement like ‘I did not have sex with that woman’. He knows that his words disingenuous. He is hiding behind intent, by seeing those civilians as having little to no value, in comparison with the military objective. He believes it acceptable to kill 200 civilians to kill 1 Hamas operative. He claims his sole intent is to kill the Hamas operative, the 200 dead civilians is an ‘unfortunate’ consequence of war. By any measure, this is fundamentally WRONG and violates the so called rules of war, which he seems to think should not apply to Israel, given the attack on Israeli civilians. I don’t like having to get angry, yell, or raise my voice/blood pressure, but here’s another example of the daily BS that I have to put up with, and WHY I get as upset as I do. For the third time in two years, I am being sued, and my company is being sued over actions that I had no part of, and would never have done had I been in charge of my company. Today, as I was getting ready to go out of town to see a good friend, my dad knocked on my door and let me know that a process server had just come by the house and serve me paperwork. When I looked inside of the envelope, my first reaction and thought was that it was gonna be somebody locally that didn’t like what I had to say online, as I’m sure that that’s coming eventually. To my surprise, and I assure you, it was a surprise, I’m being sued for Joe McBride brother, Eric. Allegedly, Eric McBride violated federal statutes when it comes to marketing/telemarketing. I show you those charges inside of this video. You may not like me over January 6, and you may not like my politics, but one thing for sure: I have never been sued, or criminally charged/referred over anything at Wholesale Universe. If I did something that wasn’t in my customer/client’s best interest, I made it right over and over and over. My motto, and many of my former employees can tell you, was, “we are always going to do the right thing, even if it hurts.” It pains me to see what has become of the baby that I built. As you can see, the company is not in the correct hands right now. When it was in mine and Bonnie’s control only, we didn’t have these issues. When it became in Bonnie’s control only, lawsuits and criminal complaints/criminal investigations started flying. Once again, you may not like me personally, but that doesn’t mean that my business that I rightfully and legally ran for years on end should be taken away from me and given to criminals who do things like this. Especially when these bills are still in my name, you’re still using the name wholesale universe which I created, and your tarnishing and staining my legacy and my name - in my ultimate reputation, which I tried to leave the world to use for good. Y’all took what I built for the community and for the employees and for the clients and ruined it. That makes me so sick to my stomach that I can put in so much time and effort just to have people come in behind me and completely steal it and ruin it, and destroy all the clients in the employees along the way that helped build it and get it there. Along with my children, losing my business that I worked so hard to build to these thieves is the second worst thing that ever happened to me. Fonda hated her body at that time & was suffering from terrible bulimia. And her not being Brigette Bardot, also made her feel low. She wrote, "Every morning I was sure that Vadim would wake up and realize he had made a terrible mistake—'Oh my God! She’s not Bardot! At the same time, unwilling to let anyone know my real feelings and wanting, Girl Scoutishly, to do my best, I would pop a Dexedrine and plow onward." Roger Vadim was a binge drinker & his drinking got worse. He started consuming alcohol even during lunch. No one from the crew could guess what he would do after that. Vadim's words would slur and his decisions about how to shoot scenes often seemed ill-considered. The script of 'Barbarella' wasn't worked out in advance & was re-written while the movie was being filmed. The Production cost of the movie was very high. Jane Fonda would often pretend to be sick so that the film’s insurance would cover the cost of a shutdown for a day or two while the script was being changed. Despite the problems, Jane Fonda learned to love the movie over time. She wrote, "By today’s standards Barbarella seems slow (it seemed slow to many critics back then as well). But I think the jerry-built quality of the effects and the offbeat, camp humor give it a unique charm. (...) One thing for sure, I never dreamed the film would become a cult classic and, in some circles, the picture Vadim and I would be best known for.
